General Care Information:
* Do not cut directly on bench tops. A cutting board must be used.
* Avoid scourers and abrasives as they can scratch surfaces.
* No hot pots or pans etc to be placed directly on bench tops.
* No wet or damp items to be placed on shelves or into drawers.
* Do not use strong acidic, alkaline or bleach cleaners on bench tops and/or doors.
* Any spilt water or liquids on doors on bench tops must be wiped dry immediately.
* Bench tops and splash back joins, sinks, basins etc must be sealed with silicone to avoid water damage to cabinetry.
* Use mild soap on a warm damp cloth for general cleaning and wipe dry immediately. For more stubborn stains, refer to manufacturers web site for further information.
Door Hinges:
All our door hinges are quality German-made hinges by Hettich. These have a lifetime warranty from manufacturer (subject to Hettich terms & conditions.
* Overextending doors, when opening, can damage hinge mechanism.
* Doors with a soft closing mechanism should not be forced closed, but simply pushed and allowed to close themselves.
* Excessive wait on doors can cause doors to go out of alignment or even breakaway from cabinet carcass.
* Do not used doors as hand rail as this puts excessive weight on hinges, and mounting plates and is not covered under warranty.
* Doors may need adjusting at some time and can easily be done by the home-owner, or alternatively by Yannakis and Sons Cabinets tradesperson. Charges will apply for return visits to site.
Drawers:
Yannakis & Sons Cabinets use quality Hettich German-made drawer systems. These drawers are soft-closing and have 40kg weight capacity as standard. We also offer an optional extra, Topside and DesignerSide in 60kg & 80kg weight capacities.
* Drawers are only to be removed by a qualified tradesperson as removal and refitted could damage mechanism and may require adjusting.
* Soft closing drawers should simply be pushed and allowed to close themselves. Force closing will damage mechanism and is not covered by warranty.
* Alternative Drawer systems and door hinges may be used on budged projects.
